According to «Paragraph 1 – Romania’s flag is tricolor. The colors are laid vertically in the following order starting from the lance: blue, yellow, red»
The people from zzing initiated the campaign UnSingurSteag.ro (JustOneFlag) in order to draw the attention on the fact that every Romanian flag we see on the street, in institutions, in schools, on sites or on TV has different nuances of red, yellow and blue. Maybe you have already thought about it, but, if you do a Google search with “Romania’s flag”, you will notice that the flags’ colors aren’t really identical.
So I’m not surprised anymore that we don’t have a “country branding” as the problem of the lack of a country brand begins with this very incoherence of the flag’s color code. Actually, if our flag had a darker blue, it could easily be mistaken for Belgium’s flag (black, yellow, red), the Romanian flag having been inspired from the Belgian one.
I invite you to see he next film which will clear up things better.
