About How to Web 2010
How To Web is a support organization for online entrepreneurship, entrepreneurs and all those interested in becoming familiar with the online business and technology scene.
How to Web 2010 Conference helps entrepreneurs and web professionals build better web businesses and applications, while meeting their regional and international peers. Our two days event includes key-notes on web trends and business development presented by 20 international speakers, also workshops and a great startup competition.
Approach
The How to Web team invited us to join the project and create all of their online and print promotional materials. Of course, we instantly said ”Yes!”… and got to work! We managed to create a variety of materials – online banners, roll-ups, flyers, badges etc. – that were used both before and at the event.
Take a look here at a selection of materials.
File Folder
Is probably one of the most well-known print material used for the event. We choose this design since we wanted to emphasize, promote and describe the importance of the event: for two days, Bucharest is the world- capital of the Internet. It’s a simple design with Europe’s borders that puts Romania above all the others countries. A simple line-drawing of the borders makes Romania so much more visible and important.

Info Files
The elements used in this design maintain the same brand architecture, including the colors, the sections and typography and all the others vital elements. Notice how every detail is significant and supports the message.

Notebook
We believe that it is important to come up with a friendly, simple and, most importantly, appealing cover design. For this specific project, we should thank Rene Magritte, painter, for inspiring us. His genius work is so inspiring and can fit so well with the idea that today almost everyone is web-oriented that we decided to use his concept for explaining the importance of How to Web in this industry.

Roll-up.Poster
Roll-ups are a must-have element in almost all events. An eye-catching, attractive roll-up that conveys a professional, compelling message about the product, service or event will invariably hold the user’s attention. We tried to combine the professional side of the event with a friendly design. The black background sets this apart from many other designs. We wanted to create something clear and most certainly stand out from the crowd. The result was more than we thought: not only eye catching work, but really effective and for sure sparks your interest and curiosity – which was exactly what we wanted. Obviously every material is based on the concept of the identity.

Spider
Meet all of the event’s partners and friends. Since so many organizations were thriled to join How to Web our challenge was to present them all in a visible and clean design. Here is the result!
Tip: if you take a look at most of the interviews, photos taken at the event you will probably notice this spider as background.

Badge
In a huge event such as How To Web, a badge is a a great support for both organizers and participants. We designed each card in order to clarify five different groups of people: organisers, participants, speakers, press and special guests.
Not to mention we wanted to make sure that the powerful concept of the logo was emphasized.

Bag.T-shirt
T-shirts and bags play a big part in the event. We bring you some pictures from the event.

Coffee break / Lunch break
These slides appeared on monitors and announced the public about the coffee break or the lunch break.

Stickers
Through stickers the organizers wanted to bring the event closer to its fans. All the stickers promote an idea, or a funny phrase related to the event. In other words, the good copy combined with the design was a great reminder.

Facebook profile
Facebook profile page is a place of opportunity to showcase your visual brand and possibly communicate additional information. That’s why BroHouse designed the Facebook profile really effective and fresh.
The next step was to create some images to bring people more closer to the event and also to support it by displaying one of the many banners on their blog. “Choose the one that suits you best”.

Twitter background
Twitter turned out to be a great environment to communicate with the audience and build network connections. However, even 2 months ago, How To Web didn’t have any Twitter background and it was a good time to change that. BroHouse customize the profile page by changing its background, text and link colors.

Bros
We hope they are inspiring to you as How To Web was to us. As always, thanks for reading!

Testimonials
Munca multa !. Problemele sint in… detalii (astea iti rapesc tot timpul). Conceptia este unitara, se vede o ideea in toate materialele.Asta este fb. Am urmarit toata manifestarea si stiu si cum este facuta o manifestare de asta in strainatate. Conferinta a iesit foarte bine, a avut tinuta (evident si datorita BroHouse), si putem sa fim mindri cu reusita asta. Sincere felicitari ! Editita urmatoarea are deja stacheta ridicata foarte sus.
I saw your work on Creattica and followed your link to here. I’m glad I did.
Fresh interesting designs that grab my attention. We only have a moment to do that and you do it very well.
Thank-you for the inspiration.

Thank you Mike. We hope that we will continue to be a source of inspiration for many others.
